Our Must-Try List Of Signature Cocktails Feat. White House Pizza
Premier Party Rental’s Must-Try List of Fancy Schmancy Signature Cocktails
It’s that time of year again when the festivities commence – holiday parties and dinners, ugly sweaters, eating too much, holiday cheer and ho-ho-ho! To help you kick things up a notch, we are introducing a handful of our favorite signature cocktails that we highly recommend you try at your next holiday shindig, or just on a snowy day at home!
In order to put these drinks together in the fanciest of ways, we enlisted the help of Carbondale’s White House Pizza. Founded in 1997, White House Pizza is a 9x winner of “Best Carbondale Restaurant” and a genuine local’s favorite. They feature delicious homemade items and use fresh ingredients, offering a full menu of pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, salads, and more. White House Pizza is also known for its upscale bar, carrying all the local favorites – including local beers, vodka, whiskey, and more – and talented bartenders that get stoked on the creativity behind their cocktails.
Dom the bartender helped make our signature drink lineup, so we chatted him up to learn about any insider tips we could share. First, did you know they have a monthly rotating cocktail called the “Beeza’s’ Pick” after one of their other bartenders, Ashlan, who concocts something new and exciting on the 1st of each month? In addition to that, they also have a rotating barrel aged cocktail that is offered until the barrel runs out, and then they switch it up. Currently, White House Pizza’s barrel aged cocktail is called “Betty’s Harvest” – Peach Street Whiskey infused with local plums (from Betty!), made-in-house honey simple syrup, Bitter Truth bitters, all served with fresh rosemary…YUM! As for the “Beeza’s Pick,” a great insider tip is that you can ask for a past featured cocktail and they will make it, as long as they’ve got the ingredients.
White House Pizza recently added some new cocktails to their already impressive menu that are worth trying next time you swing by, including bartender Dom’s favorite, “Cowboy’s Breakfast,” or front of house manager James’ recommendation, the “Vietnamese Coffee Martini.” Be sure to ask your bartender for their suggestion, they’d love to talk you through some options and lead you on a custom cocktail journey.
Create your own custom cocktails at home by trying the signature cocktails we created for you this holiday season. Each cocktail recipe was inspired by some of our top styles of glassware, and are presented in each glass to really show them off. We had so much fun crafting these and hope you will give them a try this season – there’s a flavor profile for everyone in this list of Premier Party Rental’s must-try fancy-shmancy signature cocktails. Cheers!

CLASSIC NEGRONI / ROCKS GLASS / BARWARE COLLECTION
One of our favorite cocktails served in a rocks glass is bold, crisp and vibrant. It’s refreshing, not too sweet, and feels very “Mad Men” to drink. We’re talking about the classic Italian cocktail, the Negroni. A Negroni combines bitter Campari and Gin to balance with Sweet Vermouth making for a perfect aperitif, or for sipping slowly into the night.
Classic Negroni
Yield: 1
Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients
1 oz. Campari
1 oz. gin
1 oz. sweet vermouth
Orange slice, for garnish
Instructions
In a tumbler filled with ice, stir together the Campari, gin, and vermouth.
Prepare Rocks Glass by adding ice and running an orange peel around the rim of the glass.
Pour mixture over ice, garnish with an orange twist, which you can make by simply running a vegetable peeler or knife around a fresh orange, and then giving it a twist.
APEROL SPRITZ / GRANDIOSO GOBLET / CRYSTAL COLLECTION
The Crystal Collection is the only glassware collection featuring this grand goblet. A step above the 18oz Crystal Glass, the Grandioso is the perfect container for a refreshing, ice-clad spritzer. And not just any ol’ wine spritzer you can find on Pinterest, we’re talking the classic spritzer – the Aperol Spritz.
This classic Italian spritzer is refreshing and simple with the ability to customize in flavor, ranging from more sweet to classically bitter. Make it your signature cocktail by choosing your favorite garnish: try lavender or edible flowers, a slice of fruit, or even a sprig of rosemary for a festive addition. If you haven’t tried this trendy cocktail yet, we highly encourage!

CHAMPAGNE MOJITO / BLUE HOBNAIL GOBLET / SPECIALTY COLLECTION
One of our most favorite and most popular glasses, the Blue Hobnail Goblet. This gorgeous goblet has a vintage-romantic feel with a touch of whimsy. You can decorate this goblet up or down depending on the occasion, and you can count on it to add a pop of subtle color (also comes in amber). This goblet also evokes a sense of power and control with it being slightly heavier in feel – an overall well balanced and perfect addition to any table.
Because of the range the Blue Hobnail Goblet provides, we love using it for a whimsical hybrid cocktail like the Champagne Mojito. This cocktail is magical, (probably too) easy to guzzle down, and uplifting. In our opinion, any cocktail featuring bubbles is a win, but this one balances out so well with fresh mint and smooth rum. Try switching the lime out for an alternate citrus or other fruit to customize the cocktail even further. Cheers!

VINTAGE ST. GERMAIN / COSMOPOLITAN GLASS / BARWARE COLLECTION
The Cosmo Glass is another classic used for a wide range of cocktails, but the main focus has always been martinis. You feel fancy holding a glass like this; it’s both delicate and powerful all at once. That said, we think we’ve found the perfect signature cocktail for this classic glass: the Vintage St. Germain.
Whether your event theme is winter wonderland, white and modern, vintage glamour, or classic romance – this cocktail will fit right in as a signature. It’s appearance is a dreamy cloud of white gold that is undeniably glamorous. It’s flavor is a perfect balance of slightly sweet and subtlety sour. We highly recommend the simple yet luxurious sip of the Vintage St. Germain at your next event.

HOT BUTTERED RUM CIDER / IRISH COFFEE MUG / BARWARE COLLECTION
We’re feeling the changing seasons lately and this glass says it all. The Irish Coffee Mug feels like the coziest glass we’ve got, just waiting for you to enjoy a warm, festive beverage outside on a crisp fall night or around a cozy fireplace in winter.
With winter on the brain, we’ve got cider on the brain. But not just your regular warmed up hot apple cider, our Irish Coffee Mug deserves a bit of indulgence. This Hot Buttered Rum Cider feels a bit like something grown up Harry Potter might enjoy, and we’re all about that. It’s a fun, social drink that can be had at a serve-yourself drink station, ladled from a large pot.
Hot Buttered Rum Cider

1/4 teaspoon salt
1 ½ cups dark rum
Cinnamon sticks

Keep warm and serve in Irish Coffee Mugs garnished with a cinnamon stick.
BEERMOSA / MASON JAR WITH HANDLE / SPECIALTY COLLECTION
A mason jar is known for the unlimited number of ways you can use it – to name just a few: canning fruit, making pickles, freezing spaghetti sauce, a vase for flowers, and the latest trend – drinking specialty beverages out of. We love the rustic feel these glasses give off, especially with a cute and convenient handle. You could honestly put anything in these and it will be perfect, but our preference is of the drinking sort, and we think a Beermosa was made for this glass.
This modern cocktail isn’t only for brunch anymore. A refreshing Beermosa is something to be enjoyed for almost any occasion. A heartier play on a classic mimosa, a beermosa combines the sweet, tangy flavors of orange juice with a smooth delicious beer.
