What’s Hot – Summer 2017

Summer is here, which means (drumroll, please…) wedding season is here! From decor to venues to place settings, here’s what’s hot for summer 2017.

1. Rustic Aesthetics

The opportunities for a beautiful, rustic wedding are seemingly endless, especially in Colorado. Although this rustic trend has been around for some time, couples are finding new ways to put their own twist on things. Combining wood tables and chairs with simple, bright flowers creates an elegant yet beautiful aesthetic. Simple, wooden chairs with ribbon, fabric or flowers tied around them is a great way to add a pop of color.

2. Organic Color Schemes

Color schemes aren’t one-size-fits-all, but trends are pointing to more neutral tones instead of extreme colors. Think light yellow, light green, blush, even ivory. These schemes pair well with rustic weddings and decor.

3. Twinkle Lights

Twinkle lights are a must for this season regardless of the venue. They elevate any reception to the next level and they photograph beautifully. These lights pair well with hanging light fixtures and hanging floral arrangements. Fabric draped from the ceiling is also an easy way to add a touch of class.

4. Simply Elegant Tablescapes

As far as table settings go, a little goes a long way. Brides are sticking to simple place settings sans chargers complete with a neatly folded napkin, white glass plate and silver utensils. Understated flower arrangements and other natural touches such as twigs and leaves add a little something extra. Of course, candles are always a go-to trend that sets the scene as well.

5. Signature Cocktails

Couples are getting creative when it comes to drinks. Brightly colored specialty cocktails are becoming more and more popular as they add a touch of personalization. Work with the bartender to create your own special drink served in a unique martini glass or mason jar. Adorn it with fresh fruit and guests are sure to be impressed.

Keep your eyes peeled for the above trends this summer. We have a feeling it’ll be the best wedding season yet.
